West Palm Beach Adventures

Hey loves!! I had the absolute BEST time in West Palm Beach. The 70 degree weather, turquoise water, and (seemingly) endless amount of baseball made my March nothing short of amazing.

In case you didn’t know, I was in WPB to work for the Houston Astros during Spring Training. They just moved from Kissimmee to West Palm, and this was their inaugural season at their new complex – The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. The new stadium, which is now home to the Houston Astros and the Washington Nationals, is absolutely STUNNING. It has a 360 degree concourse, amazing ballpark food, and is lined with palm trees. On their opening day, they had a ribbon cutting ceremony that I got to take part in. Me and Orbit helped roll out the ribbon, and dignitaries from both the Astros and Nationals organizations cut it and the ballpark was officially opened. Then, myself and the other Shooting Stars got to stand in the Astros lineup for the National Anthem (across from Bryce Harper, no less). Talk about a ‘pinch me’ moment. Here are some snaps of the awesome new facility!

When I wasn’t spending my days at the ballpark, I was able to get out and explore the city! West Palm Beach, Jupiter, and Palm Beach Gardens, are where I spent a majority of my time. I can’t say enough about how gorgeous this part of Florida is and how kind the people are. The turquoise water makes you feel like you’re in the Bahamas, and the town is filled with amazing architecture and cute little shops/restaurants. Clematis and City Place have incredible night life, and having my girls to explore it with made it even better!

What good is Spring Training and a gorgeous beachside city if you have no one to enjoy it with? That’s where my gal pals come in. I met these girls through the Astros, and let me go ahead and tell you that my Spring Training experience would have been so much less had I not met them! We were the Shooting Stars, aka the promo team for the Astros. This meant we got to pump up fans during the game, do marketing out in the community, and of course we danced on the tops of dugouts during the 7th inning stretch to “Deep in the Heart”. These girls made the job (can I even call this a job?) even more fun than it already was and I’m so grateful I got to spend my March with them! <3 Oh, and we can’t forget Orbit 😉

I had the time of my life at Spring Training 2017, and I can’t wait to do it all over again next year! Thanks for reading. See you all soon!
